System Requirements All DSL Broadband
Services The MyBizGate Internet
DSL Broadband services use PPPoE
software (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet) to obtain an
IP address and connect to the Internet. The provided
PPPoE software is compatible with the following operating
systems:
Win 95/98
Win 2000
Win NT 4.X
Win ME
Win XP
Mac OS 8
Mac OS 9
Mac OS X
Customers that have an
operating
system other than one of those listed above are responsible
for providing and supporting their own PPPoE software. The
only exception is Windows XP which has a PPPoE client built
into the operating system.
Customers must have a 10Base-T (Ethernet) network interface
card (NIC) installed and working in their computer prior to
self installation or MyBizGate Internet technician arrival. MyBizGate Internet does not
provide NICs.
Phone Line
Requirements DSL services are
provided via line sharing which means your DSL service will be
set up on the same line as your voice service. Since there is
no need for a second line, there is generally no need for a
technician to visit your home or office to complete the
installation.
What should you know about line
sharing? There are certain technical limitations of
line sharing that you should be aware of before you order
DSL services from MyBizGate Internet.
You must have local telephone service through the
Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier (ILEC). This is your
local phone company and must be one of the following
providers:
Verizon
Qwest
Southwestern Bell
SBC
Pacific Bell
SNET
Ameritech
Bell South
MyBizGate Internet
cannot provide line shared services if your local
phone company is not one of these providers.
The information on your MyBizGate Internet order (name,
address, and telephone number) must be an
exact match to the information on
your local phone bill, or MyBizGate Internet will not be able to
process your order.
. There are certain advanced voice services that
you may be using that are not compatible with line
sharing. Some of these are
Centrex
PBX
Key Systems
MyBizGate Internet cannot
provide DSL services on any lines
that also contain one of these advanced voice
services.
Self Installation One of the
benefits of line sharing is that MyBizGate Internet can provide
self-installation as an option to DSL
customers. Self-installation is a much more cost effective
solution than having a MyBizGate Internet technician visit your home or
office.
What should I know about self
installation? As with line sharing, there are specific
technical limitations of self-installation. If any of the
scenarios below apply to you, you will need to request a
professional installation to obtain MyBizGate Internet service. MyBizGate Internet will
send a technician to your home or business to complete the
installation for an additional fee.
A security or health monitoring alarm connected
directly (not plugged into a phone jack) to a phone
line.
More than 5 devices (telephones, fax machines,
satellite or cable box, etc.) connected to a phone
line.
Contracts One-year minimum contract is
standard for all DSL Internet Services. Please see

Installation Our self-installation
kit has won awards for its straightforward, 1-2-3 step design.
The result is a hassle-free experience. After the self
installation kit is delivered, usually within 2 weeks of
ordering, most customers get their service installed and up
and running in 30 minutes or less. Should you run into any
difficulty during the installation, simply call our toll-free
24x7 Customer Care Center and an installation expert will
provide assistance. If you prefer to have MyBizGate Internet install your
service, we can do so for an additional charge.
30
Day No Risk Trial We know that once you've experienced
the benefits of our high-speed connectivity, you'll wonder how
you ever did without it. Try our DSL services for
30 days. If you're not totally satisfied with the service and
disconnect within the 30-day period, you'll recieve a full
refund. We're certain that once you've tried MyBizGate Internet, you'll
understand why Internet users nationwide rely on us for
high-speed connectivity. After 30 day trial
period, all early termination fees will apply. Refund of
equipment charges is dependent on the proper return to MyBizGate Internet
of all equipment in like-new condition with all original
packaging. MyBizGate Internet will give you instructions on how to properly
return the equipment if you request a 30 Day No Risk Trial
refund. Please allow 3-4 weeks for refund after MyBizGate Internet has
received the returned equipment. In addition to refunds on
your equipment, MyBizGate Internet will also refund the total monthly
recurring charge and any professional installation fees.
However, MyBizGate Internet will not refund any fees charged for missed
appointments. Expect approximately seven (7) days after MyBizGate Internet
receives your returned equipment for a disconnect order to be
fully processed.
